Reg. 2007 (MARION CAMPBELL X JOAN DERIFIELD) Named in honour of one of the Ontario Daylily Society's founding members this daylily is a fitting tribute to this wonderful friend, wife, mother and lady. When I was asked by Diane's husband Ron to name a daylily in honour of his wife, I was thrilled to do it because she is a great friend. Diane has had some major health problems lately. Because of these health problems she has had to enter the local hospital at times. Diane has had excellent care there and Ron and her wish to reward this with a donation to this hospital. Ron has asked me to tally all the sales of the daylily DIANE CRAWFORD for each year's sales and he will match that amount and make a donation in Diane’s honour to the Headwaters Health Centre Hospital in Orangeville, Ontario. A fitting tribute to a wonderful lady. DIANE CRAWFORD the daylily combines the great plant habits of MARION CAMPBELL and the clarity and purity of colour of Curt Hanson’s multiple award winning JOAN DERIFIELD. The thing that draws you to this daylily is its tall well branched and budded scapes which it inherits from MARION CAMPBELL. Along with that a healthy, plant that doesn’t mind being divided. The flowers are a nice blend of rose/pink and open well each day. Because of the height of scape the flowers show off very well in the garden. Fertile both ways. Please note that we expect a high demand for this daylily and we do have a good number of double and single divisions of it in stock.
