MARION CAMPBELL (213A)
Marion Campbell
TET - 34" - M La - 5 1/2"
spacerRuffled Cream pink self with a green throat.. fr.; ext.; semi-ev to dor.; 3 way branching, bud count 25+. Reg. 2001 - From my 213 line of daylilies. MARION CAMPBELL is named after my mother's youngest sister and is one very good performer here in my gardens. It is a full sibling to our previously registered introductions ROSE ELECTRA and LOVE INTEREST. Registered in 2001, I have held MARION CAMPBEL from commerce because I felt it might be a powerful parent and I wanted to use it in my hybridizing program a bit more before I released it to the public. As you will see I am introducing two of its offspring in our intros this year and there are more to come in the future. The thing that has always attracted me to MARION CAMPBELL is its height and strength of scape and how well that height and long branching displayed the many flowers it produces. It is a prolific bloomer, just covering itself with many flowers and blooming over an extended period of time. Fertile both ways, pollen is easy, pods take a bit of persistence, but it will set pods. The pods that are produced have many seeds, with excellent germination.
