(STRAWBERRY CANDY X STRAWBERRY LACE) Highly ruffled coloured edges have been all the rage over the last few years, unfortunately many of these cultivars come from more southern areas and do not display these heavy fringed coloured edges as well in the north. And many of these heavy ruffled and coloured edged flowers have flower opening problems. Here is my attempt to bring these heavy ruffled coloured edges with easily opening flowers into northern hardy cultivars. From a very long cross were selected ROSEPOINT LACE and its full sib EDGY APPEAL. ROSEPOINT LACE'S appeal is the very clear pink coloured petals with a darker
rose-pink eye and corresponding predominate rose-pink frilled edge that it displays in the garden. The flowers open up well even in cooler weather. The plant is healthy and bounces back fairly easily from dividing. Used a lot as a parent in many crosses to produce fancy coloured edged offspring. Fertile both ways.PRICE: $75.00 (DF)
